About COE Cost

Radif Partners rebuilds the full price of a car in Singapore from the rules the Land Transport Authority publishes: tiered ARF on the OMV, VES and EEAI adjustments, the COE premium of each bidding exercise, road tax by engine capacity or motor power, and the PARF and COE rebates you get back when the car is deregistered. COE results are read from data.gov.sg after every exercise. The site sells no car, loan or insurance, links to no dealer and asks for no e-mail or phone number.

Why the site was built

In Singapore the sticker on a new car is the sum of six or seven separate charges, and the money you get back when the car goes to the scrapyard depends on two more rules. COE results are easy to find, but they are usually shown as a bare list of premiums. Calculators exist, but most of them handle one tax at a time, so a buyer has to copy a figure from one page to the next and still has no idea of the yearly cost. Some pages that show the results are there to collect a phone number for a car sale, a loan or an insurance quote.

This site chains the whole calculation in one tool: OMV, excise duty and GST, tiered ARF, VES and EEAI, the COE premium of the latest exercise, road tax, then the PARF and COE rebates at the end, so that the answer is a cost per year and per month. The COE figures are refreshed from the official open data after each exercise, and nothing asks for your name or number.

Who publishes it

The site is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds calculators from public data. It is not the Land Transport Authority, not a car dealer, not a bank and not an insurer. It sells no car, loan or policy, takes no commission, and its pages carry no affiliate link and no lead form.

Where the figures come from

COE premiums, quotas and bids for all 398 exercises from 1st exercise of January 2010 to 2nd exercise of October 2026 come from the Land Transport Authority’s data set on data.gov.sg, and the monthly prevailing quota premium from the Singapore Department of Statistics data set (source: LTA) on data.gov.sg, both read on 24 October 2026 and reused under the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0. The tax rules (ARF tiers, VES bands, EEAI caps, road tax formulas, PARF schedules, COE rebate and renewal rules) were read on LTA’s vehicle tax structure page and the pages cited on each calculator page, then written into a parameter file that the calculators read. The method page lists every rule and its source; the editorial policy explains how corrections are made.

What the site does not do

It cannot see your vehicle record, tell you the OMV of a particular car, place a bid or renew a COE. Its results are estimates built from the published rules: the amounts on LTA’s own enquiry services, your dealer’s contract and your bank’s letter are the ones that count.
